York County Community Foundation Honors Reed Anderson at Annual Professional Advisor Event

(YORK, PA, October 8) – York County Community Foundation (YCCF) inducted the late, D. Reed Anderson, Esq. into its Professional Advisor Recognition Society at an event to recognize accountants, attorneys, financial planners, investment advisors, and trust officers for their efforts in promoting charitable giving through YCCF’s endowment funds. Reed Anderson joined Stock and Leader, Attorneys at Law in 1970 where he worked for 51 years until his passing on March 30, 2021. Attorney Anderson also served on several local nonprofit boards, including the York County Community Foundation, the Pennsylvania State University-York Advisory Board, and the Crispus Attucks Association.

“We are honored to recognize the contributions of Reed Anderson with his induction into the Community Foundation’s Professional Advisor Recognition Society,” said Jane Conover, President and CEO of the York County Community Foundation. “In addition to his law practice, Reed gave countless hours of service to his community. YCCF was lucky to have Reed on the board of directors from 1997 to 2005.”

Attorney Anderson joins twenty-five local professional advisors who have been inducted into the Professional Advisor Recognition Society since its inception in 2012.

Reed’s wife, Connie Anderson, and his daughter, Jody Anderson-Leighty accepted the award on his behalf at an event held for professional advisors and nonprofit agency fund holders. YCCF’s annual Professional Advisor’s Breakfast Seminar was held at Heritage Hills on October 7 and featured guest speaker, Bryan Clontz, founder and President of Charitable Solutions, LLC. Clontz specializes in noncash asset receipt and liquidation, gift annuity reinsurance brokerage, actuarial gift annuity risk management consulting, emergency assistance funds as well as virtual currency and life insurance appraisals/audits.
