Working Together to Create a Vibrant York County

The Community Foundation makes grants to nonprofit organizations that have the highest likelihood of impacting our strategic focus areas, which are determined by volunteer committees and Community Foundation staff using the YorkCounts Community Indicators Report, community plans, research and the intentions of donors who have established funds at the Community Foundation.

The Community Foundation knows that strategic philanthropy is the most effective way to achieve significant results with limited resources. Grant proposals may be solicited or requested through a competitive grant application process or the Community Foundation may develop partnerships to achieve its goals.
