The York County Community Foundation (YCCF) is excited to welcome two new interns to its communications department this summer: Hailey Lubo and Kadidjatou Clarck.
Hailey and Kadidjatou, both rising seniors at local universities will work closely with YCCF’s Communication Coordinator, Rabiya Khan, and Vice President of Communications and Culture, Sarah Thomas, to gain a deep understanding of York County’s nonprofit sector and help promote YCCF’s mission of inspiring charitable giving.
Hailey Lubo, a Corporate Communications major at Penn State University, was previously an after-school program supervisor for the York City School District. She will use her experience of communicating with diverse audiences to engage with donors and grantees through her internship at YCCF.
“I am excited to spend this summer learning from YCCF’s passionate team of professionals and to gain an inside look into the world of nonprofits and community relations,” shared Lubo. “This opportunity offers me the kind of experience that I have been working toward while pursuing my degree.”
The internship marks a key step in Hailey’s professional journey, allowing her to receive guidance and knowledge from the experienced members of the communications team at YCCF.
Kadidjatou Clarck is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Marketing Communication at York College of Pennsylvania. She worked on nonprofit-focused projects in her classes, including projects that supported affordable housing and community outreach. Through her educational background, Kadidjatou has also developed skills in content creation, writing, and editing which she is expanding by earning both Google and Meta professional certifications.
“I have always been passionate about giving back to my community because my community has never stopped giving back to me,” expressed Clarck. “I am looking forward to making a positive impact while gaining real world experience during my time at YCCF.”
