Cathy Bollinger, CSA, Director of Grantmaking
As a native York Countian, Cathy is passionate about fostering a community where everyone can thrive at every age. She brings experience as a strategic thinker and innovative problem-solver across both for-profit and nonprofit sectors and joined YCCF in 2014.
Cathy directs YCCF’s grantmaking operations, overseeing the full lifecycle of grants—from application review to measuring impact. She leads the grants team in guiding grantmaking committees, supporting grantee capacity building, fostering strategic partnerships, and using data-driven insights to strengthen decision-making and process improvements. She is driven by the opportunity to direct resources toward meaningful, measurable impact and to help create inclusive, connected, healthy, and sustainable communities for all.
Over the past decade, Cathy has led countywide advocacy and education efforts to reframe aging and build age-inclusive communities. She has played a key role in advancing Age-Friendly York County and Age-Friendly Pennsylvania in their participation in AARP’s Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities. She is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) and serves on several local and statewide initiatives supporting communities that are great places to grow up and grow older in.
An avid fan of food and design competition shows, wine tastings, travel, seasonal home decorating, and musical theatre, Cathy treasures time with her family and friends. She especially cherishes childhood memories with her grandparents, whose experiences with aging continue to shape her perspective and inspire her work.
