York City Downtown Revitalization Fund

We’ve heard from city planning experts such as Chris Leinberger about the importance of a vital downtown for the economic health of our county. York County Community Foundation has acted on that important fact. We recently created the York City Downtown Revitalization Fund to support economic development in York City. The focus of the fund will be development of market rate housing, enhancing the Codorus Creek corridor in the City, and placemaking, a movement that reimagines public spaces as the heart of every community. The York City Downtown Revitalization Fund is a tool for donors to support economic development that strengthens our community. Grants or loans will be available to charitable and private organizations and will be approved by the Community Foundation’s Board of Directors. This Fund is just one more way the Community Foundation is leading the charge to create a vibrant York County, and we hope you will join us.
