Philip B. Deane Fund

Phillip Deane, civic leader and a founder of York County Community Foundation, recognized that the Community Foundation’s ability to meet changing needs over time depends upon the availability of discretionary funds. He and his wife, Louise Spahr Deane, each established trusts naming York County Community Foundation as charitable beneficiary and directed that income be used for broad charitable purposes. Since then, the Deane’s legacy has touched so many lives in ways unforeseen by them when they provided for these endowments.
