Marsha Everton and Jack Stover each learned the life lesson that sharing resources with others is a responsibility. That’s why they created the Marsha Everton and Jack Stover Fund for York County. “We are committed to improving our community through personal involvement and shared financial resources,” explained Marsha. Marsha, who served on the Community Foundation’s board, and chaired the marketing and communications committee, grew up in a military family that moved frequently. Jack was born and raised in Carlisle, in a family whose history reaches back to Governor Joseph Ritner. They settled in Dover and raised their three children with the same values taught by their own parents. The couple chose the Fund for York County because they support the strategic approach of the Fund, which focuses on a select number of high-impact initiatives. “We believe that the most powerful, meaningful way to build a better future is to collaborate for collective impact,” said Jack. In addition, they trust in the Community Foundation’s stewardship of their legacy.
