Logan Family Fund

Mary Logan had the distinction of creating the Community Foundation’s first child care scholarship fund. “I have seen so many kids who need a break,” Mary Logan said when she started this Fund. Miss Logan was a teacher in York City School District and a longtime Board member and friend of York Day Nursery & Kindergarten. She named York City Dollars For Scholars and her beloved York Day Nursery & Kindergarten as primary beneficiaries of the Fund. First Presbyterian Church (York) and Monaghan Presbyterian Church (Dillsburg) are also beneficiaries of the Fund, which she continued to make gifts to until her death.
