Jeanne Schwartzer Memorial Fund
Established in 2011
The Jeanne Schwartzer Memorial Fund was established in 2011 by the MS Grumbacher Foundation. Jeanne Schwartzer began her career at The Bon-Ton in 1942 at the age of 17 after graduating from York High. Ms. Schwartzer was Corporate Secretary for more than 65 years, and also served as an executive secretary to the Grumbacher family. After her retirement, she served on the MS Grumbacher Foundation Board until her death in December 2010. She was the last Yorker on the board. The fund will benefit the organization The Well, where Jeanne was a volunteer.
