George and Josephine Schmidt Fund for York County
Established in 2010
Jody Appell created this Fund from her donor advised fund as a way to continue to honor her parents while helping the Community Foundation meet the most pressing needs of the community as they arise. Her family ancestors were founders of major community insitutions in York, and this fund will help perpetuate a family tradition of philanthropy and community service dating back to the early 19th century.
