Douglas and Lorie Sheaffer Housing Fund

Mr. Douglas Sheaffer cared for both his family and community. He was proud to be a longtime member and past president of the York Jaycees where he met his wife, Lorie. Together, they had two children, Christopher and Kelly, who they enjoyed visiting while they resided in various parts of the country. Prior to and after retiring from Schaedler Yesco, where he worked in sales and sales management for 35 years, he enjoyed traveling through the Midwest, West Coast, Florida, Hawaii, Europe, the Finger Lakes and Ocean City, MD. Prior to his death on June 29, 2022, Douglas proved again his care for his community, when he and his wife thoughtfully established the Douglas and Lorie Sheaffer Housing Fund. Grants from the fund will be paid to qualified nonprofit organizations in the field of interest benefitting affordable housing, home ownership and homeless prevention. These areas of focus were important to Douglas and will now forever be part of his legacy.
