Codorus Watershed Endowment Fund

Established in 2001

York County Community Foundation’s Codorus Watershed Endowment Fund was created with a $2 million payment from Glatfelter as part of a consent decree settling litigation. A nine-person Advisory Committee is charged with developing strategic direction and action plans to build on the work of existing watershed improvement programs and leverage new public and private investment to improve the health and vitality of the Codorus and its environs. Judy Blakey, former chair of the Codorus Watershed Endowment Advisory Committee, said, “Our responsibility is great and lasting. We have the responsibility to protect and steward this community asset – now and for generations to come.”
