“Nonprofits in York County do vital work every day, and CollaborativeYork.org makes it easier for them to access the resources and connections they need,” said Sarah J. Thomas, Vice President of Communications for York County Community Foundation. “This platform is the result of listening and working together to ensure every nonprofit has the tools to thrive.”
The Collaborative is a coalition of funders and nonprofit representatives advancing capacity-building initiatives identified in York County’s nonprofit landscape assessment, which can be viewed at www.yccf.org/nonprofit-landscape/. As the backbone organization, York County Community Foundation provides administrative, staffing, and financial support to ensure the network’s stability and growth.
“York County’s nonprofits are at the heart of making our community stronger, more vibrant, and more connected,” said Natalee C. Gunderson, President & CEO of York County Community Foundation. “By supporting the Collaborative and launching CollaborativeYork.org, we are improving access, fostering collaboration and partnerships, and supporting nonprofits in more effective and strategic ways; ensuring resilience and adaptability of the sector is at the forefront. This collaborative approach is the way forward and we are pleased to have the ability to support the sector, which employs about 16% of York County’s workforce.”
