Memorial Health Fund at York County Community Foundation Awards Over $289,000 in Grants to Eight Local Nonprofits

(York, PA, July 30, 2025) – The Memorial Health Fund, a supporting organization of the York County Community Foundation (YCCF), recently awarded more than $289,000 in grants to eight York County nonprofit organizations. Two of the recipients, The York Community Resource Center and Autism at Face Value, are first time grantees of YCCF.  All grantees leverage their grant awards to address compelling issues impacting the health and wellness of residents in York County and its surrounding communities.

Grant awards from Memorial Health Fund include:

Accountability for Life (AFL) received $50,000 for Tackling Mental Health, a holistic program that integrates mental health education with physical fitness to foster wellbeing and resiliency in youth athletes.

The York Community Resource Center received $50,000 to purchase equipment and supplies for Tec Centro York’s new dental assistant training program’s operatory. At this center, historically marginalized and bilingual community members can build skills necessary to enter an in-demand profession.

Friends and Neighbors of Pennsylvania received $49,150 for software that will help them maximize their mission to support the unhoused population and increase opportunities to build capacity to sustain their operations.

Servants, Inc. received $45,000 to implement a program to reduce fall hazards in the home for high-risk patients through home modifications. This program aims to improve patient health, reduce emergency visits and demonstrate healthcare cost savings through proactive community-based intervention.

YMCA of the Roses received $35,330 to expand Brain and Body, an evidence-based program to improve quality of life for adults diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. This expansion includes both increasing enrollment at existing locations and launching a new program at the new YMCA in Spring Grove.

Katallasso Family Health Center received $30,000 to upgrade clinic technology which promises to enhance patient care and engagement.

Equiteam Support Services received $25,000 to deliver therapeutic interventions for severe trauma to patients, mostly children under age 16, who cannot afford these important specialized services.

Autism at Face Value received $5,000 to enhance the quality of life for autistic individuals by building pro-social mental health coping skills through therapeutic tabletop roleplaying games. By fostering community-based supportive environments where participants can engage in guided activities, the organization aims to cultivate emotional resilience and facilitate social connections.
