(YORK, PA, December 15) – The York County Community Foundation (YCCF) is committed to building economic mobility for low-income people through its impactful THRIVE grant opportunities from the Fund for York County. THRIVE grants focus on programs and collaboratives that transform lives and the York community.
YCCF is pleased to announce the following grants:
- $100,000 from the Fund for York County Program Fund to the LogosWorks for Capacity-Building Through Community Collaboration. LogoWorks is a social enterprise working to reduce the number of harmful interactions between police officers and the communities they serve by enhancing public engagement opportunities, investing in training programs, and purchasing equipment to bring much-needed change to York County.
- $85,000 from the Fund for York County Program Fund to The PROGRAM, It’s About Change, for its collaboration with the Reentry Opportunity Center’s Ready to Work program to provide reentrants with job readiness, education, and training to enhance job motivation and achieve long-term employment goals.
- $78,000 from the Fund for York County Program Fund to Friends & Neighbors of Pennsylvania Inc., for a program coordinator to provide staff support for a collective model to address homelessness and housing insecurity in York County.
- $50,000 from the Fund for York County Program Fund to the APJ Foundation for vocational training and mentorship to young people to inspire a future free of violence by offering the tools to build a prosperous life.
- $50,000 from the Fund for York County Program Fund to New Hope Ministries for a York County Workforce Development Program to help neighbors in need gain employable skills in high-demand fields that lead to economic stability.
- $32,000 from the Fund for York County Program Fund to Servants Inc. for the purchase of a utility van to increase their ability to manage projects and quickly respond to small critical home repairs.
- $15,000 from the Fund for York County Program Fund to Creating Opportunities in neighborhood Environments, Inc. for an analysis of Housing Tax credits and their impact by studying Phases I & II of The Homes at Thackston Park development in York City.
- $6,000 from the Fund for York County to National Alliance on Mental Illness York County for PAUSE in School, that provides mental health crisis prevention, intervention, educational peer support groups happening during the school day for middle and high school students, faculty, and families of the school district.
- $50,000 from the Children’s Program Funds to YMCA of the Roses for Youth Development programs at TechRev York by providing cutting-edge technology to the YMCA’s STEM career readiness activities, the Temple Guard program, and additional YMCA initiatives.

Grants are awarded to organizations or collaboratives that support YCCF’s strategic direction in creating new programs, expansion of existing programs, and planning and research.
