Mary McGrath Fund for TrueNorth Wellness Services

Established in 2014
Mary McGrath Fund for TrueNorth Wellness Services

Paul and Donna Minnich and others created this fund in honor of Mary McGrath’s retirement in 2014 from TrueNorth Wellness. Mary served as executive director of the organization for 14 years and ushered in its name change from Adams Hanover Counseling Services to TrueNorth in 2013. Under Mary’s tenure, services at TrueNorth grew to fit the needs of the community, and include the creation of the Autism Center and the Amazing Kids Club. In response to community need, TrueNorth expanded to 430 staff spread across seven counties so that expert behavioral health and wellness services are always within reach. Mary also understood the need to give employees new opportunities for training and development so they could grow and adapt with new research. She created an emerging leaders program and provided executive coaching, which have led to sustainability and financial growth of the organization and a culture of continuous learning to incorporate best practices into all aspects of TrueNorth. This designated fund will help TrueNorth continue to focus on professional development for staff and keep Mary’s legacy forever as part of the organization.
