York County Community Foundation Welcomes New Vice President of Grants & Community Engagement

(York, PA, July 2, 2024) The York County Community Foundation (YCCF) is pleased to welcome Michele Mummert as the Vice President of Grants and Community Engagement.

In this role, Michele will lead the Grants Department and set the strategic direction of YCCF’s grantmaking. Michele’s experience with program development and collaboration will encourage and fuel community transformation in York County.

“Michele’s knowledge of the community, her approach to grantmaking, and her strategic mindset made her the ideal candidate to lead our grantmaking team,” said Natalee Gunderson, President & CEO of York County Community Foundation. “We’re excited to have someone of her caliber joining YCCF during this time of opportunity and growth. She will be a critical part of our continued success in creating opportunities for everyone to thrive.”

Michele comes to us from WellSpan Health where she most recently served as the Senior Director of Community Health and Engagement. In that role, Michele helped to advance community health through advocacy, engagement, partnership, programing, and grant funding. She previously worked at DENTSPLY International where she focused on educating internal and external partners, corporate communications, and public relations.

Michele holds a B.A. in Organizational Management from Eastern University and an M.B.A. from Pennsylvania State University. She has served on the boards and steering committees of many local nonprofit organizations, including the York County Food Bank, Healthy York County Coalition, York County Stable Housing Collaborative, and more.
