(YORK, PA, October 19) – York County Community Foundation (YCCF) inducted Holly A. Mayer, CFP into its Professional Advisor Recognition Society on October 12. This award recognizes accountants, attorneys, financial planners, investment advisors, and trust officers for their efforts in promoting charitable giving through YCCF’s endowment funds.
Holly serves as First Vice President/Wealth Management, Financial Advisor of Mayer Wealth Advisory of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC. Holly has successfully served clients as a Certified Financial Planner professional since 1998. Holly is actively involved in supporting her local community and especially enjoys bringing an additional focus to women investors at Mayer Wealth Advisory of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC.
In addition to being a valued member of YCCF’s Board of Directors and current Chair of the Board, Holly also served on YCCF’s Investment Committee for 15 years and Chair for 8 years. Most recently, Holly was instrumental in the creation of an Agency Endowed Fund and Agency Flex Fund for York Catholic Middle and High School. By developing deep relationships with her clients, Holly helps fulfill their personal and charitable goals. By connecting them with YCCF, clients can create a lasting legacy to support the organizations and issues they are passionate about in York County.

Holly joins twenty-six local professional advisors who have been inducted into the Professional Advisor Recognition Society since its inception in 2012.
Around 60 people attended YCCF’s annual Professional Advisor Seminars which were held at two locations this year – a breakfast at Heritage Hills and a lunch at the Hanover Country Club. Both events featured guest speaker Meghaan Lurtz, Ph.D., FBS™ a Professor of Practice at Kansas State University where she teaches courses in the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate Program, a lecturer at Columbia University where she teaches Financial Psychology, and an on-staff writer and researcher of financial psychology at Kitces.com.
