(York, PA, May 18, 2023) – Memorial Health Fund, a supporting organization of the York County Community Foundation, recently awarded over $210,000 in grants to seven York County organizations. These grants will help address compelling health issues of the residents of York and its surrounding communities.
“The Memorial Health Fund (MHF) board is pleased to approve the following grants,” said, Michelle Hovis, Chair of the Memorial Health Fund Board.
The latest round of grants from the Memorial Health Fund include:
- Just 4 Today Sober Living to purchase a new transportation vehicle.
- Margaret E. Moul Home’s Cerebral Palsy Therapy Center to enhance its Therapy Center’s Occupational/Restorative services to better meet the needs of its unique clients through enhanced mobility equipment and operations.
- Bethany Christian Services of Central Pennsylvania for its Safe Families for Children™ (SFFC) program that supports at-risk families in crisis through a safety network of volunteers motivated by compassion to keep children safe and families together.
- White Rose Pickleball Association to construct a pavilion with bathrooms at its 8 existing outdoor pickleball court complex in Veterans Memorial Park, in the City of York.
- The APJ Foundation for its Mental Health Counseling Services and Mentorship Program to help youth and young adults heal, grow, and be challenged in a safe and emotionally supportive environment through mental health services and mentorship.
- Girls on the Run Mid State PA for its Holistic Health Outcomes program to inspire girls in 3rd through 8th grade to be joyful, healthy, and confident, leading to positive social, mental, emotional, and physical health outcomes for girls.
- Union Lutheran Church to provide security equipment to vulnerable neighbors who are often targeted as they participate in service programs as well as partner organizations.
Memorial Health Fund transforms the way our community addresses compelling health issues to improve the complete physical, mental, and social well-being of the residents of York County. Memorial Health Fund became a supporting organization of York County Community Foundation in 2015. Previously, Memorial Health Fund was a supporting organization of Memorial Hospital.
