Field of Study Scholarships

Through the Community Foundation, some donors have established funds that are related to a specific field of study. If a student would like to be considered for these scholarships, they should download and complete the attached application or contact the person listed below. The Community Foundation serves as a partner in the selection and distribution of these scholarships.

 
  • Tom Adams, Jo Hunger, George Lamotte Dental Scholarship

    Designated for students from York County studying to become dentists, dental specialists, or dental hygienists. Details on scholarship requirements and application are available at the following link.

  • Robert R. Anderson Family Scholarship

    Designated for students pursuing undergraduate and graduate studies related to agriculture with a home address of record in York County, Pennsylvania. Details on scholarship requirements and applications are available below.

  • Flinchbaugh Engineering Education Scholarship

    Designated for children and grandchildren of employees of Flinchbaugh Engineering Inc. Contact Dena Leisses at (717) 434-1958 or [email protected] for an application.

  • Shipley Scholarship

    Designated for children or grandchildren of Shipley Group employees or retirees. Please contact Melanie Playdon at 717.757.8360 or [email protected] for an application.

  • Fuel Their Fire Scholarship

    Designated for persons legally residing in York County Pennsylvania, who are seeking an educational opportunity in the area of Emergency Services (Fire Fighter, Paramedic, EMT, Law Enforcement), Fire Science, Criminal Justice, Nursing, and Conservation. In memory of our fallen local firefighting heroes.

  • The Christopher Sabb Memorial Scholarship Fund of York County Community Foundation

    Designated for BIPOC students attending Dallastown Area High School or Baltimore City, Maryland high schools. Students must be pursuing a post-secondary education and demonstrate a financial need.
