Welcome New VP of Community Investment

Lise Levin recently joined York County Community Foundation as Vice President of Community Investment. As a member of the Foundation’s leadership team, Lise will advance the mission of the Community Foundation through high-impact grantmaking programs and strategic community leadership and improvement initiatives. As head of the Community Investment Department, Lise will supervise the Managing Director of Embracing Aging and the Grants and Scholarship Program Administrator. Lise will be extensively engaged in the community and will work with volunteer advisory committees headed by Board leaders.

Lise came to the Community Foundation from the York County Bar Foundation, where as Director of Development, she built the advancement department, crafting a five-year strategy to grow the Bar’s endowment from below $1 million to above $5 million. Prior to that, she served for four years as the Community Development Officer at Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) York Campus. Lise created HACC-York’s advancement program that introduced and educated the community about York’s community college.

Prior to her position at HACC, Lise was at the York Jewish Community Center for 12 years where she held several positions. She was responsible for creating the JCC’s development department, and also served as grant writer, community development director, and membership and marketing director. Lise was responsible for creating the JCC’s “Everyone is Welcome” brand. Levin also has experience as a journalist, writer, and producer.

Lise holds a BA from Trinity College. She has a history of long-term community volunteer work with several organizations. She is past chair and 10-year member of the Women’s Giving Circle, past president and past fundraising chair of the United Jewish Community of York, and a 17-year board member and immediate past board chair of the York-Adams Chapter of the American Red Cross.
