Beattie and Chet Kimes Fund

In his later years, Chester Kimes tutored young people at Otterbein United Methodist Church (York). He and his wife, Beatrice, both native York Countians, were devoted to their church – and to young people. They had no children of their own. By will, Mr. Kimes provided for the establishment of this Fund for general purposes of the church and its youth programs. Mr. Kimes was employed for more than 40 years at York Corporation (now York International). Mrs. Kimes was a longtime employee of The Bon-Ton Stores.
