Angels Giving to Those in Need Fund

The Angels are a group of women who came together in 2006 to raise awareness and funds for The Cancer Patient Help Fund. Each Angel had been touched in some way by the disease and wanted to do something positive for those in similar situations. Their grass-roots efforts led to six very popular “Jeans and Gems events” that raised more than $500,000. All funds raised stayed in York County and 100% went to cancer patients. The Angels were proud of their success, but wanted a way to make their money work more effectively. After doing some research on building endowment, one of the Angels introduced the group to York County Community Foundation. The Angels have taken a hiatus from their work while building their endowment, but plan to regroup in the near future to leverage their fundraising efforts.
