2020 New Funds

2020 New Funds:

The Richard Guyer Fund was started in recognition of Coach Guyer’s retirement in 2009. Coach Guyer and the assistants who have supported him for more than 40 years created a swimming legacy at York Suburban. More importantly, these coaches support academic excellence at York Suburban High School. Coach Guyer has since returned to coaching at York Suburban and continues to build a legacy of excellence. The fund supports the York Suburban Education Foundation in its mission to provide funding for innovative programs that enhance the educational experience and foster continued academic excellence for district students.

The Reid Menzer Memorial Fund was created in memory of the son of Kendall and Eric Menzer. Reid passed away after being struck by a car while skateboarding. To honor his love of skating and to ensure the safety of other skateboarders, the Reid Menzer Memorial Skatepark Fund was established. While he loved skateboarding, it wasn’t his only passion. Th Reid Menzer Memorial Fund will support baseball and music programs, two of Reid’s other favorite activities.

As a former member of YCCF’s board of directors, Carol Wagman learned the value of having an endowed donor advised fund at YCCF. The Carol Wagman Fund was created just before the COVID-19 pandemic. Working with the grant making team at YCCF, Carol made sure nurses at York Hospital had comfortable shoes. This was her way of thanking frontline workers for their commitment to the health and safety of patients during the 2020 pandemic.
