York County Community Foundation supports our community through grant awards to support projects in the following areas:

Nonprofit Strategic Alliances Grants. Beginning January 1, 2010, York County Community Foundation will focus on strategic alliances between nonprofit organizations, particularly focusing on mergers, encouraging efficiency and effectiveness. Other areas of opportunity include collaborative efforts, such as back-office mergers, supporting one or more nonprofit organizations.

Nonprofit Community Support Grants. Beginning January 1, 2010, York County Community Foundation will engage its donors in funding opportunities to support project proposals from nonprofit organizations in York County. Through this small grants program, the Community Foundation will evaluate proposals and post appropriate applications for donors to review and consider for funding.

Field of Interest Funds Grants. Agriculture and Land Preservation, Beautiful York, Codorus Watershed Endowment and Weyer Community Health Fund are not hosting competitive grants programs in 2010.


Energy Conservation Grants. York County Community Foundation Energy Program provides technical and financial assistance to York County nonprofit organizations to help them conserve energy-and reduce operating costs. The Community Foundation provides this support through the Charles G. Eyster Family Fund and the Energy Conservation Fund, which was established by the work of Mr. Eyster.
